DR. LEAH KUHLMAN
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Leah Kuhlman joined our practice in October 2025 as an Associate Veterinarian. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2023 and completed her clinical year at The Ohio State University. Dr. Kuhlman has special interests in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and ultrasonography and enjoys the diversity of cases that each day in veterinary medicine brings.
From a young age, Dr. Kuhlman knew she wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She was drawn not only to caring for animals but also to building meaningful relationships with their families and helping them make informed decisions about their pets' health and well-being. One of her favorite aspects of being a veterinarian is strengthening the bond between people and their pets while providing compassionate, individualized care.
At home, Dr. Kuhlman stays busy caring for her seven furry family members—five cats named Stanley, Gomez, Nox, Oscar, and Theo, as well as two dogs, Odin, a German Shepherd, and Walter, a Cavachon. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, baking, and tending to her impressive collection of approximately 150 indoor plants.
When asked about her favorite animals, Dr. Kuhlman admits it's hard to choose—she loves both cows and cats among domesticated animals and has a special appreciation for dolphins in the wild. One of her most unique veterinary experiences was performing a kangaroo castration while in veterinary school!
What Dr. Kuhlman loves most about working at our practice is the opportunity to rotate between our locations, meet new clients and patients, and be part of the strong sense of community that Veterinary Wellness Partners provides.
